Gorontalo - With the increasing competition, qualifications, capacity, and standardization of education become homework for teachers. This was stated by the Chancellor of the State University of Gorontalo, Dr. Ir. Eduart Wolok, ST., MT. who also served as Chair of the Gorontalo Province PGRI when opening the 2022 PGRI Provincial Work Conference III on Tuesday (24/5) at the Universitas Negeri Gorontalo Meeting Room.
“I want the paradigm or mindset of my fellow teachers to change. The teacher's goal is not only to graduate students from school. The foundations that you build from an early age will determine your qualifications at every level of education," he said.
He said that this is a challenge for PGRI to not only graduate students with good grades, but also to make students competent to be able to compete.
“PGRI needs to monitor the measurement of school standardization. We have to get rid of the mindset that one school to another has different qualities because in improving education this should not happen," he said.
Held by Faculty of Education Universitas Negeri Gorontalo and supported by ten universities as co-hosts and an organisation.
