GORONTALO – Study programs in the field of health in Universitas Negeri Gorontalo will collaborate with each other, in carrying out the tridharma activities of higher education, especially in the field of community service. This collaboration will be realized through the Health Profession Community Service (KKN) program for the first time, which will involve the fields of medicine, nursing, pharmacy and public health.
The head of the UNG medical undergraduate program, dr. Nanang Roswita Paramata, M.Kes, revealed that to prepare for the collaborative service program, the medical study program collaborated with other health study programs to finalize preparations through a workshop on preparation for the health profession community service.
“With the workshop, we want to unite perceptions among health study programs at UNG for how to carry out professional community service later. So it is hoped that the study program can prepare students to take part in this community service, "she said.
According to dr. Nanang with KKN for health professions, every health profession, namely undergraduate programs in medicine, nursing, pharmacy and public health, can carry out community service in hospitals and health centers according to their respective duties.
"It is hoped that when participating in KKN, all health professions can work and collaborate with each other, based on their respective duties and functions for public health," dr. Nanang explained. (**)
