Gorontalo: With the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka, especially at the tertiary level. It has encouraged UNG to expand its network and partners to support the program's implementation for students.
This time, the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Letters and Culture are collaborating with private parties engaged in hotel services, namely Grand Q Hotel Gorontalo as the partner of the two Faculties. The cooperation is realized by signing a MoU between the Deans of the two Faculties and the Director Operational of Grand Q Hotel Gorontalo, Wednesday (3/3) the Ballroom of the Grand Q Hotel.
The Vice-Chancellor for Cooperation, Planning & Information Systems revealed that through signing the MoU, several fields could be cooperating. Such as the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka program in an integrated form of Students.
"In MBKM, students are required to develop their abilities by doing an apprenticeship for several months. Through PKS, students can participate in carrying out internships at the Grand Q Hotel Gorontalo," he said.
According to him, this PKS can be growing not only for the Faculty of Law and Faculty of Letters and Culture but also for other faculties. The potential for this collaboration can make it possible for other faculties to be involved in PKS.
"There are still eight other faculties that have the potential to be involved in this PKS. So, hopefully, we can use this chance for institutional development," explained Ikhfan.
Meanwhile, the Operational Director of Grand Q Hotel Gorontalo, Nikson Tahir, A.Md. Par. hopes that the collaboration with UNG can positively impact, especially in strengthening the capacity to support the Institute's existence. (**)
