GORONTALO – Universitas Negeri Gorontalo continues to demonstrate its commitment to improving the quality of education, through cooperation with various strategic partners. On this occasion, UNG collaborated with PT. Pegadaian, which is a state-owned company engaged in financial services.
The cooperation was realized through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Chancellor of UNG, Eduart Wolok and the General Director of PT. Pegadaian, Gunawan Sulistyo, Tuesday (11/5), at the UNG Damhil TC Ballroom. The signing of the MoU was attended directly by the leadership of UNG and the top officials of PT. Pegadaian.
UNG Rector Eduart Wolok welcomed the cooperation that has been established between UNG and PT. Pegadaian. This cooperation, said the rector, shows UNG's real steps in building a strategic partnership network to improve the quality of education in Indonesia.
"Through this collaboration, UNG is one way to contribute to the development of higher education in welcoming Golden Indonesia," said Eduart.
Eduart hopes that the cooperation that includes the implementation of the tri dharma of higher education, can support UNG's efforts in strengthening education, research and community service programs through direct collaboration with PT. Pegadaian.
"UNG greatly appreciates the support of PT. Pegadaian. Moreover, through this collaboration, PT. Pegadaian has made a big commitment, which is shown by creating a Pawn Lounge at UNG, as well as contributing to scholarships and research," said Eduart.
General Director of PT. Pegadaian, Gunawan Sulistyo explained that the collaboration with UNG is one of PT. Pegadaian's commitments to participate in contributing to supporting the development of higher education in Indonesia. The support is realized covering aspects of education, research, community service and other fields in the form of scholarships and research assistance.
"Of course, PT. Pegadaian strongly encourages the MoU signed today, to be immediately followed up and implemented through various programs that can encourage the progress of the world of education, especially UNG itself," he explained. (**)
