GORONTALO - A total of 66 students of the Nursing Professional Education Study Program, Faculty of Sports and Health (FOK), Universitas Negeri Gorontalo (UNG) participated in the Basic Trauma Cardiac Life Support (BTCLS) Training Batch 2 which took place online on March 4-6, 2025. This training aims to prepare prospective medical personnel with practical skills in handling medical emergencies, especially in cases of trauma and heart disorders.
The training, opened by the Head of the UNG Health Training Center, Dewi Suryaningsi Hiola, S.Kep., Ns., M.Kep., was designed to provide direct experience in managing medical emergencies. With an online format, participants can access materials and training from anywhere, ensuring that their knowledge and skills remain updated even in limited conditions.
"As prospective health workers who will later go directly into the field, it is important for students of the Nursing Professional Education to have practical skills in dealing with trauma and heart disorders. This BTCLS training is a solid foundation to equip them to be ready to face complex medical challenges in the real world," said Dewi.
This training is expected to produce health workers who are more prepared, responsive, and skilled in providing first aid in medical emergencies, especially in Gorontalo.
