In an effort to preserve the values of trust and promote the quality of public services in the village community, undergraduate public administration students from the social sciences faculty through the Village Thematic Community Service Program have established a public service clinic in Molas Village, Bongomeme District. In fact, to maximize the role of the public service clinic, students also formed an organization to manage the Public Service Clinic.
Field Supervisor (DPL) Dr. Yacob Noho Nani, S.Pd., M.Si, said that the public service clinic is part of the Village Development Thematic Community Service Program, for the Mandiri MBKM Program "Village Project". The presence of the clinic is an effort to establish and manage a model of public service institutions at the lower level or at the village community level.
"This is also intended as a means of aspirations for the community in the implementation of development and community empowerment in Molas Village, Bongomeme District," he said.
In service activities by public service clinics, said Yacob, there will be knowledge sharing with practice, or training in the establishment and management of public service clinics conducted by students together with the government and village communities.
“The steps taken are through socialization about the importance of public service clinic institutions, then the establishment and filling of public service clinic organizational tools. After that, assistance will be carried out on tasks and institutional functions as well as the management of public service clinic organizations," he explained.
According to him, the final target of the village thematic community service program is to build a village project independent mbkm program, namely, the formation of a public service clinic organization in Molas village while increasing public knowledge about the benefits of cultural values and the existence of public service clinic institutions.
"Another target of this program is the realization of transparent, quality and affordable public services at the lower level, namely the Village," he concluded.
