Gorontalo - Instilling a desire to maintain the integrity of the nation is one of the goals of the Universitas Negeri Gorontalo to hold UNG Bersholawat. This was stated by the Rector of the Universitas Negeri Gorontalo, Dr. Ir. Eduart Wolok, ST, MT, in his remarks at the event on Tuesday (24/5) at the Rectorate of the State University of Gorontalo.

"Through this activity, we want to instill in our younger students to always maintain the integrity of the nation and keep away the notion of radicalism that threatens the integrity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia," he said.

He considered that this activity was very important because the campus is one of the places that became the entry point for radicalism.

“I don't want that to happen at UNG. Through the conditions and circumstances tonight, we pray together that we will always be kept away from such conditions," he hoped.

UNG Bersholawat was attended by more than 2000 people. This activity began with the reading of Maulid Al-Mahmud by the Majelis Muhyin Nufuus Gorontalo, then continued with tausiyah by KH. Rasyid Kamaru, M.Pd.I. Habib Salim Al-Jufri, Lc. and K.H. Abdullah Aniq Nawawi, LC., MA.
