GORONTALO – The National Selection for New Student Admission (SNPMB) stage in 2024 for the National Achievement-Based Selection (SNBP) pathway has been started by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology.
For the SNBP pathway, UNG Rector Prof. Dr. Ir. Eduart Wolok, S.T., M.T., explained the presence of fundamental changes in the selection that students must understand. One of the changes to the rules was that students who passed the selection for the 2024 SNBP pathway could not register to take part in the new student admission for the National Test-Based Selection (SNBT) pathway or the independent pathway for state universities.
"Students who will later be declared to have passed the 2024 SNBP selection pathway will no longer be able to register for the 2024 SNBT selection pathway or 2024 independent selection, and it applies in all state universities in Indonesia," said the Rector at the 2024 SNPMB outreach and promotion activities.
In this regulation enactment, the Rector, also deputy chairman II of SNPMB 2024, asked students to pick their preferred university or study program according to each individual’s interests and abilities.
"So, we hope students are not just doing aimless picking for a campus or study program when registering for SNBP 2024 because when they are declared to have passed the selection, students must make that choice," stressed the Rector.
The Rector said this policy was carried out to increase the number of re-registrations for those declared to have passed the SNBP so that it was even higher. With this regulation, the Rector asked the schools to carry out their duties in guiding and directing students to participate in the 2024 SNBP by registering based on their preferred study program.
