Dharma Wanita Union of the Universitas Negeri Gorontalo participated in the success of the COVID-19 vaccination program which is currently being promoted by the Government. The form of this participation is by carrying out a vaccination program that targets DWP members in UNG and their families who have not received the vaccine.
Head of DWP UNG, dr. Cecy Wolok Karim, Sp.GK, said the vaccination program is a form of DWP's seriousness in making the Covid-19 vaccination successful at all levels of society through organizational programs in the social and cultural fields.
"This was carried out because we saw that many people had not received the vaccine, especially the third or booster vaccine, which prompted us to open a vaccination service," Cecy said.
According to her, the vaccination program has enormous benefits for the community in dealing with the COVID-19 virus. Especially after getting the first, second, and booster doses of vaccine, it can reduce the pain suffered by those who are exposed to the virus.
“This is a program from the government so that UNG, especially the DWP organization, should play an active role in the success of the government program. It is hoped that active participation can achieve herd immunity from the COVID-19 virus in the community," she hoped.
