UNG – English Department of Letters and Culture Faculty in State University of Gorontalo held a Preliminary Visit upon arrival of Regional English Language Office (RELO) US Embassy Language Specialist Jessie Kindle this Friday. In this event, they discussed about partnership between English Department and RELO for bringing an American professional teacher for the next semester.

“Hence, English Department get one teacher from America to teach here for a year,” said Head of English Department Novi Rusnarty Usu, S.Pd., M.A. Preliminary Visit conducted to show condition of Department condition as well as discussion with the RELO regarding expectations of the ‘Abroad Teacher’ about how and what to do courses in English Department of UNG.

In addition to teach Writing, the teacher also plan to conduct other activities such as Workshop or English Department Lecturers, Online Course, even Leadership activities that can be implemented outside of college. Based on the agenda, the representative of RELO will hold meeting with the head of departments, followed by the meeting with the English Department students. He will hold a workshop on Monday at nine and check the teaching room at afternoon.

The cooperation that has existed with RELO since 2007 expected will offer positive impact for the better academic in their department. This meeting was attended by leaders of faculty, department leaders and so the lecturers in English Department. Further, The Teacher scheduled to come on August or September next semester.
